The Loisaida Foundry put together and hosted a beautifully successful Community Halloween Party in a local garden named "Garden of Humanitarians". We worked with local business "Harley Cakes" for the ballin set up and "Solo Pizza" for some pies donated by oolalafilms of park slop Brooklyn NY. We also had some fun music by a well known community member known for his Logo "I'm Everywhere" - Freaky Frige L.E.S. We also had some cupcakes and treats made by board member Nancy Galarza. We even had our local journalist/photographer Stacy Joy from EVgrieve newspaper stop by and take some great pictures. The event was so much fun. At the end we had a costume contest where everyone won a free book and the final contestant was awarded a $10 cash prize. Arts and Crafts, used and new Halloween costumes and tons of candy where also available to the kids.
